I spoke too soon.....

SNOW today!! Woohoooooooooo!! Okay, it was an inch and is already melted -- but at least I got to catch a few flakes on my tongue with my four year old nephew, Nicholas. Tonight he said "Aunt Cactus, I'm going to miss you."
I said, "I'll miss you, too, Nicholas."
"When will you come back from Arizona to see me?"
"I don't know, Nicholas."
"How about 25 days? I'll count each one until I see you again, Aunt Cactus."

I'll miss my little buddy. I leave NY to head back to AZ tomorrow evening. :(

M E R R Y -- C H R I S T M A S !

...from Rochester, NY! No snow here though! It's always nice to travel during the holidays. Everyone is happy!

When I got off of the plane in NY on xmas eve, I said the following to the crew as I was exiting the plane, "Thanks for flying so we can see our families" and the pilot seemed to really appreciate that.

Hope you all had a great holiday!

Merry Ho Ho!

I haven't had the Christmas spirit this year. The reasons: No decorations (all in storage), no family in town, too busy, etc. Tonight my good friend K came into town and the spirit has finally hit. We went on a hayride on a farm in the middle of no where to see lights. After the lights came a big bonfire with S'MORES!! Unfortunately, K managed to sit in a pile of melted marshmallow and had to walk around with a sticky ass all night. The marshmallow and hay combo made for a nice look. Her marshmallow ass had to sit on cardboard in my car on the way home.

So....Christmas spirit has finally struck. A bit late this year, but at least it arrived. :)
Happy Holidays to all!

Poo on You!

As if things aren't crazy enough with the final weeks of work and school, I came home last night to the apartment complex to find this lovely sight surrounding the mailboxes. Seems the plumbing issue from last week (when sewage came up into my bathtub - EWWW!) wasn't quite resolved. Yes, those brown things in the picture are exactly what you think they are. All over the place. And the white chunks - they're toilet paper. And the smell, well, I can't find the words to describe it.
